Steel Structures

1. Hot Rolled Steel Buildings :

Hot Rolled Steel Buildings use an I or H profile hot-rolled steel sections for rafters, columns, beams & joists. They are cut into length, fabricated and painted in the factory prior to delivery. They are the heaviest form of steel building solutions and are common where heavy internal crane rails are required. Hot rolled portal frames have a haunch at the knee joint and apex which are cut from the steel sections similar to the columns and rafter.

The sub-frames or secondary members i.e. roof purlins and wall girts used for fixing the exterior cladding may be either of galvanized, zincalume steel C or Z-section which are bolted to the cleats attached to the rafter and columns.

3. Space Frames :
A space-frame is a truss-like, light-weight, rigid structure which is constructed by interlocking struts in a peculiar geometric pattern. Space-frames usually utilize a multidirectional span, and are often used to accomplish long spans with few supports. They derive their strength from the inherent rigidity of the triangular frame.
We have a dedicated division which has been setup to cater the ever-growing demand for space-frames within the Middle-east sectors. We, identify, propose, supply and/or install the space-frame to the specific client requirements. Fencing Solutions

CHAIN-LINK FENCING SYSTEM :

A Chain-Link Fence or Wire-netting is a type of woven fence, usually made from galvanized or PVC-coated steel wire. The wires run vertically and are bent into a zig-zag pattern. This forms a characteristic diamond pattern seen in such type of fence. The popularity of chain link fence is due to its relatively low cost and ease of installation. A further advantage is that due to the open weave, chain link fences are transparent and do not obscure sunlight/vision from either side of the fence. Few of the applications are as follows :

The standard mesh size is 50mm x 50mm which would be manufactured but we have considered and made available to manufacture any other mesh size depending upon the client requirement. The fence fabric either PVC or galvanized would be manufactured in various diameters as per standard market trends or to suit any specific customer requirements. We also cater the manufacture of barbed wire which would be either PVC or galvanized and it would be manufactured in 2-strand, 4-point barbs with the barb spacing between 75mm – 100mm or suiting any specific client requirement.

The fencing post and accessories enlisted as below forms the backbone of a quality fencing system.

These are selected and designed specifically to suit and stand to the customer requirement and satisfaction.

Tension Wire : It is an essential component required for pre-stressing the fence which comes in G.I. or PVC coated G.I. wires conforming to BS-4102.

Stirrup Wire : It is required to fasten the tension wires. It comes as 2.0mm G.I. or 1.80/2.60mm PVC coated wires in diameter.

Stretcher Bar : It is required for stretching the chain-link fabric. It is made up of galvanized and/or epoxy coated, 25x5mm flat bars having holes for fixing the barbed wire-lines.

Turn Buckle : These are galvanized straining devices used in M6 or M8 sized which is required for tensioning the Tension / Barbed wires at Tension Posts.

Line Posts : These are made from BS-4360 & BS4 standard equal angles having flange size 40x40, 50x50, 65x65 & 75x75 or from galvanized hollow sections as per BS-1387 having outer diameters of 48.3, 60.3, 76.1 & 88.9mm, the selection of which depends upon the type & height of the fencing.

Strainer, Corner & End Posts (Tension Posts) : These are made from standard equal angles of flange sizes 50x50, 65x65, 75x75, 100x100 or from galvanized hollow circular sections having outer diameters of 60.3, 76.1, 88.9 & 114.3, the selection of which depends upon the length & type of fencing.

Support Braces : Two braces along the fence are run bolted on each side of the strainer posts which are made up of angles or galvanized circular hollow sections.

WELDED-MESH FENCING SYSTEM :
Welded Mesh Fencing System provides a strong but elegant boundary fence without being a visual barrier. Heavy wires are electrically welded at each intersection to provide the security of a traditional welded mesh fence, while several reinforcement ribs fortify the panel-rigidity. The welded mesh range would be available in a choice of mesh patterns to select from. It provides many advantages combining aesthetic appeal, long life and is effectively used at high security areas like Defence/Military installations, prisons, border fencings, power-stations and oil terminals.

CONCERTINA BARBED TAPES :
Concertina Barbed Tape is a mesh of metal strips with sharp edges whose purpose is to prevent passage. Although sharper than the barbed wire, it is not actually razor sharp. The sharp edges of the wire can cause serious cuts in a person attempting to pass through quickly. Barbed tape has a central strand of high tensile strength wire and a steel tape punched into a shape with barbs. The steel tape is then cold-crimped tightly to the wire everywhere except for the barbs. This barrier system is more vicious and difficult to tamper along-with providing superior perimeter security. The major applications are found in Military sites, nuclear energy sites, maximum security prisons and petroleum installations.

CONCERTINA BARBED WIRES :
Concertina Barbed Wire is a type of barbed wire that is formed in large coils which can be expanded like a concertina instrument. Each coil actually consists of two oppositely wound helices which supports each other against crushing while allowing easy longitudinal movement. The concertina wire packs flat for ease of transportation, but can very well be deployed as an obstacle much more quickly than the ordinary barbed wire. It is mainly used in very high security area to deter trespassing men and animals.

GABIONS :
Gabions originated from an Italian word Gabbione meaning “Big Cage” which were round cages with open tops and bottoms which was used to fill earth for the use as military fortifications. Modern definitions include any caged arrangement for erosion control. The most common civil engineering use is to stabilize shore against erosion. Other uses include retaining wall, temporary floodwalls, to filter slit from runoff etc. they may be used to direct the force of a flow of flood water around a vulnerable structure. Gabion baskets have advantages due to their modularity and ability to be stacked in various shapes. They also have advantages over more rigid structures because they can conform to

ground movement, dissipate energy from flowing water and drain freely. Their strength and effectiveness may increase with time in some cases. They are also used to keep stones which may fall from a cutting or cliff and which can endanger traffic on a through-fare.
